191. EXCESS by Automatic

The Los Angeles-based synth/bass/drums trio (previously covered here) is back in 2022 with their second record. If you had a chance to listen to their debut and liked what you heard, then you're in store for more goodness here. The bass and synth heavy tunes continue, though I'm hearing more Judy's and Violent Femmes on this record than the Devo influences on the first. My recommendations:  'New Beginning,' 'Turn Away,' 'On The Edge' and 'Skyscraper.'
