131. FLOWERS by The Rolling Stones

Though technically a compilation album, this 1967 release can stand on its own as one of the Stones’ best. In light of the recent death of drummer Charlie Watts, it’s worth taking a look back at this record. Only three of the twelve tracks had not been released previously, but the remaining were either limited to UK audiences or only available as singles. Whether you’re listening to this for the first time, after a long time or have it on regular rotation (at least since Watts’ passing) pay close attention to some of the less familiar tunes. My go to songs include ‘Lady Jane,’ ‘Out of Time’ and ‘Back Street Girl.’
