I previously covered Mazzy Star's third album here and now it's time to circle back and highlight this 1993 record, their sophomore effort. It's this album that people will most likely be familiar with as it contains their most famous song, 'Fade Into You.' But, there's so much more to this record than that single track and I'd like to highlight a few of those songs for you.

As I noted previously, this band and this particular record would be a great starting off point for those interested in learning more about (and hearing more) dream pop / shoegaze music. With that in mind, I would suggest you start out with the last track, which is also the title track and which is also the longest song on the record, 'So Tonight That I Might See.' Imagine a mashup between the vocals of Jim Morrison of The Doors and the music of The Velvet Underground with a bit of The Beatles' 'Tomorrow Never Knows' thrown in for good measure and you'll get a pretty good idea of what to expect from this track. Then, work your way backwards on the album, continuing with 'Into Dust' followed by 'Blue Light,' 'Bells Ring' and finally end with the song you've already heard, 'Fade Into You.'
