This record is hard to describe. I think you just have to put it on, sit back and soak it in. If I had to put words to the sounds, it would have to be psychedelic and undulating but with melody and shimmer. I know, that doesn't help much. The vocals glide over a disco rhythm in 'Stars are the Light' whereas 'The Word and the Sun' make you feel like you're inside a Space Invaders game. It's no surprise that this duo hails from San Francisco - one listen to this album will put you right in the middle of Haight-Ashbury.
