232. A COMFORTING NOTION - EP by Heartworms

So I'm going to recommend you stop what you're doing (including reading this post!) and queue up this just released 2023 EP by UK musician Jojo Orme, who plays under the moniker Heartworms. This is one of those 'stumble upon' posts - that is I just stumbled upon this record this morning and am so infatuated with it that I've been listening all day and wanted to get it out to you, dear reader / listener, as soon as possible. Why the urgency? Well, imagine throwing in Pornography-era Cure, the noise of Nine Inch Nails and the vocals of Ellie Rowsell (of Wolf Alice) into a blender (or chatGPT these days) - Heartworms is what you'll get out. Just listen. Since this is a 4 track EP, I suggest you listen to the whole thing in the order presented. I've added the songs to my playlists as well - 'Consistent Dedication,' 'Retributions of an Awful Life,' 'A Comforting Notion' and '24 Hours.'
