298. IT GOES ON by Westside Cowboy
I haven't written about a record in a while. It hasn't been for a lack of listening but more likely a lack of enthusiasm for the albums I've heard so far (here's looking at you Wolf Alice; the new Phoebe Bridgers is slowly growing on me, though...stay tuned).
Anyway, I'm finally motivated - this 2026 full length debut (they have a couple of EPs under their belts) by Manchester, UK foursome Westside Cowboy did the trick. If you've ever wondered what the genre indie rock truly sounds like and how it's different from alt-rock, then this is the record for you. A lot of guitars, driving drum beats and some quirkiness leaves me (and perhaps you) with one of the best debuts I've heard in some time.
